Took the long way home
just to ride the Daydream Express
Merging onto the fast lane
I shifted into Cruise Control
and let go
With music providing the soundtrack
I willingly joined scenarios
my mind had been turning for too long
I surrendered and let go
Visions of the past danced with hopes for tomorrow
as Today kept time with a steady beat
A mantra on steel drums
Let go, Let go
As the gas gauge dipped, my spirits rose
exponentially, explosively
My creative reservoir renewed
I signaled for the exit and headed home
photo: mine
A drive to repeat…

For once, a commute not just equated with frustration. Nice that you can make it a creative retreat! It’s all in the attitude. (Well that and how traffic is flowing!) http://judydykstrabrown.com/2015/09/16/repromptophobia/

Ha ha! Sometimes the car is the only place I can be alone. A little speed and some loud music is the perfect way to get those creative juices flowing!
