A shelter from the storm
of her own creation
Home is more than
a place to lay her head
A beacon in her endless nights
she sets sail for safe harbors
A sanctuary in a world
of empty bottles and broken needles
Home is more than
a distant memory
An anchor in her ocean of despair
she rides each crashing wave
A fortress in a battle
of addiction and recovery
Home is more than
the answer to her desperate prayers
A vessel that houses hope
she finds her way back, bruised and battered
Not a quaint structure
no picket fence
Home is more than
a picture perfect postcard
A gathering of loving arms outstretched
she opens her heart to the healing embrace

The poem and image work so well together. The way you string words together and create images is beautiful
