Awaiting Renewal

Because the harsh days of winter invariably lead to rebirth, I am thankful for short days and cold nights. This scratchy wool that punishes my skin somehow prepares my body to receive the healing touch of silk and satin that is the warmth of spring.  A celebration, this joy in knowing that each self-inflicted hibernation prepares an invocation of renewal.

Hold fast the belief

light always follows darkness

Revival is near

Burning horizons

signal a call to action

Prepare and rejoice

      1. I think I like that too… might be another poem somewhere with that. Thanks for reminding me…I think I’ll use it in my daily verse tomorrow. Since we are still in a ‘frozen state’. Might even link it to the prompt. 🙂

      2. Umm. No, I don’t have that activated. But thanks. I had a ‘troll’ issue. So I’m just being cautious. – Thanks, though.

You could copy the link or even just the piece. 🙂 (Let me know… )

Again thank you for your comment which led to the first haiku in that series. 😀
