She dreams in words and phrases
A rhythm tapping a beat in search of lyrics
Pictures in her mind arrive in waves
that crash and recede
She prays they will return
and envelop her in holy waters
Sometimes she navigates her thoughts
as the storm rages
Sometimes she treads water
waiting for the soft sea to whisper
At times she rushes to capture
big ideas as tides roll in
Mostly she waits for lines
to secure each stanza
as her heart sings a new song

Writing and Reflections 
I love the imagery of thoughts, words, sometimes assaulting us and sometimes you almost have to go fish them out of the waters, other times they just come to us in silent waves.

Thank you. I tried to capture what it feels like when I’m trying to transform thoughts into poetry. Didn’t quite get what I wanted but it’s close.
