Whispering Woods

Come walk with me

We’ll wander through the forest

where tattered thoughts and timeworn words

are muted by a canopy of leaves, lush and green

We’ll climb hills of dampened earth

where tranquility sings a tune in time

with the rushing river far below

Up ahead where the path bends just out of sight

there’s a place where the heavens paint the sky

and sanctify the ground in peace

Can you hear it?

The woods are whispering an invitation

Step through the fantasy door into the mystic

We’ll meet on the other side

and join others seeking sanctuary

in this place of refuge
