It wasn’t until you

that I learned to

surrender

that yesterday didn’t

have to define

today

that true strength

comes from within

 

Even now when I’m

tempted to resurrect old

walls

I know you will stand beside me

while I revisit old

demons

that you will hold my hand

until my battles subside
