Obscurity or Nirvana

I speak not for the stars that have fallen

but for the hollow places left behind,

currents of time and space that mourn a loss;

of that which seemed anchored and secured

I speak not for a marker in the night sky

but for the burning light that traveled great distances

just to sparkle in a lover’s eye

And as always, I speak not of this moment

nor the next

but for the morning after tomorrow

and the morning after that

Celestial bodies wink

and ask what dreams are these,

wishes wafting between has been and

what may come
