The End

Allow me to linger a little longer.

I’m locked in the shadows of our past.

I’m trying to be strong as my heart dissolves into ashes.

And as you dance without shame, can I find a path forward?

I believe I can.

When an end is truly a beginning, the mystery is solved.

With praise for established boundaries, I move.

I’ve no more need to dawdle.

Does that spotlight burn too bright?
