Hope and Heroes

And as we reach the end

of this journey

We stand

hand in hand,

in hand to hand

Our collective tears combine

to create a gentle river

that will carry you Home

We love you, Dad

From you, we learned

all that matters:

Be kind

Be loving

Hold family above all else

Be courageous

Be courteous

Always fight for what is right

Remember that laughter

is sometimes

the best medicine

We love you, Dad

From you we received

many gifts

Precious memories to

sustain us as we say

Goodbye

We recall the sound

of your big, booming voice

as you offered sage advice

We hear the sound

of your sweet, gentle voice

as you serenaded us with song

As we all come together,

your wife and daughters,

your many grandchildren,

friends and extended family

and those we’ve woven into

the fabric of this blessed life,

we honor you

We love you, Dad

Your unwavering love for Mom,

the woman to whom you are

completely devoted, is the

brightest star in this incredible

universe that you created together

It’s the foundation of our world

and because of your love and legacy, it will live forever

Rest easy, Dad

Go in peace

Your work here is done

We’ll hold you in our hearts

as I know you’ll hold ours

With the dawn of each new day,

we’ll remember your smile and

dare to dream of the moment

we’ll see you again

Love you, Dad
