If We Were Having Coffee – October 30th

If we were having coffee today, October 30th, I’d meet you down at 7 Napkins, our new restaurant. We can share some of this delicious Cookies and Cream cake. Grab a chair and let’s catch up.

To say that life has been busy lately is an understatement. I recently left my recruiting job and could not be happier. There were many things I loved about the position, especially my conversations with potential candidates, but corporate life is not for me. Once a teacher, always a teacher. I plan to return to the classroom and hope to teach Adult Education in the near future. Meanwhile I’ve been enjoying this mini respite. Between helping out in the restaurant and having the time to do things like taking a hike with my daughter, I feel like myself again. I’ve reorganized my many bookshelves and reworked my home office. Best yet, I now have more time to devote to writing.

OctPoWriMo ends tomorrow. I was doing great until this last week when real life took over. I hope to catch up on my missed posts next week. I’m toying with the idea of participating in NaNoWriMo but am still undecided. This is a national event that encourages you to work on a novel in the month of November which hopefully results in a completed first draft. I have some ideas…we’ll see what happens.

Be sure to check out some of the other Weekend Coffee Share posts. Trent over at Trent’s World has a great post and also shared a link for Natalie the Explorer who is hosting the event. Let me know if you post a Coffee Share. I’d love to read it!
