I love the message of this poem. Sharing as part of Go Dog Go Cafe’s Promote a Writer/Poet Thursday.
NEVER GIVE UP
This simple man waits in worry,
through mind-fields of love notes not wrote,
in lakes of heartache where hopes float,
and life hangs back in a hurry.
Watching signs till eyes are blurry.
Each one reads to yield or to stop.
Time’s winning as grains of sand drop,
but dreams continue on with care.
I’ll keep loving this crone so rare,
and breathing till I reach her stop.
How to write an Espinela or Décima poem.

A simple man in my eyes would probably not worry so much.
